What is the Salon Takeover?
The 2010 TACT’s Salon Takeover is a fundraising event to benefit more than 1,200 individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Hampton Roads. More than 50 local salons and spas agreed to participate by donating a percentage of their sales on Thursday, April 8, 2010 to TACT.
Benefits to Participating Salon:
Your salon will be listed on the TACT agency website (2,000+ hits per month) with a link to your website; your salon will be listed on marketing materials pertaining to this event, (reaching more than 3,000 individuals locally); TACT will provide posters, postcards and invitations that you can distribute to your clientele; TACT staff and your assigned envoy will assist in filling your treatment rooms & chairs for the day of the event. Your salon will be listed in all news print and will be mentioned on at least one radio or television interview, (circulation 800,000+); your salon will be included in e-mail invite sent to all TACT supporters, (reaching more than 3,000.) In addition to above,
your entire donation to TACT is tax deductible.
Who Can Participate?
Everyone! Just have your clients schedule an appointment for a haircut, manicure, pedicure, facial, massage or waxing session on April 8, 2010 during regular business hours. By doing so, you will be part of Hampton Roads Premiere Salon fundraising event. Have your clients arrive early or stick around after their service is completed for refreshments and fun. They will also have the opportunity to win great prizes.
Benefits to Clients of TACT:
TACT provides critical support services to more than 1,200 local residents affected by HIV/AIDS; giving them a chance for a brighter future. We provide emergency financial assistance, meals/food pantry, case management, housing assistance, employment training, and support groups and youth programs. Volunteers provided more than 9,000 hours of service in the last year; enabling TACT to minimize our program costs thus having more money going directly to our programs.
